Enriching the Lives of the Marginalised Communities of India through Quality Education, Skill development,
Livelihood generation, Healthcare, Environment safety, Disaster response and Agriculture Initiatives

The Organisation has created “Computer Aided Leaning” (CAL) to provide a platform where the grass root application of computer technologies for learning and development purposes could be tested.

The project focuses on ‘widening the knowledge horizons of both children and teachers by improving the learning and teaching systems through effective use of technology’.

Objectives: The primary objectives behind the CAL programme are:

» Educational development of children;
» Training and improving teaching capacities of teachers in using technology; and
» Building institutional capacities of schools benefiting the community as a whole.

CAL is the first initiative under the Modern School umbrella programme. The community has to come forward to enrol their village schools under this programme by contributing 25% of programme’s audio visual equipment cost. With a matching grant of 25% from the Organisation and 50% from the Government/Donor, the programme then becomes operational in selected schools. So far the Organisation has covered 260 schools in all the adopted villages in three phases.
